Yvette took over as Director of Operations for MENTOR Oregon in April of 2013. Prior to that she spent nine years as the organization's Human Resources Business Partner. She oversees all human services operations and program growth initiatives for MENTOR Oregon.
Yvette has over 25 years of professional experience in human services, with 15 years in operations leadership roles and 12 years in HR leadership roles for human services organizations. Prior to arriving at MENTOR Oregon, she spent five years in Southern California as an HR coordinator and counselor supervisor for Triple L Group Homes for adolescent girls. Other roles include a program administrator of therapeutic residential homes for adolescents, a day program manager, and a residential counselor for children. Yvette also spent time in Montana, where she was a program manager for both Easter Seals Goodwill Industries and A.W.A.R.E. Inc.
She is goal-driven and passionate about providing excellent service to people in need. Yvette holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with emphasis in group and family dynamics from Carroll College. She also participates in HR-related special interest groups, such as the Portland Drug-Free Initiative.
